Senior Web Applications Developer, Aerona, Derry

This is an opportunity for a driven, self-motivated individual to join a small, dynamic company. The position will allow you to have significant input into the technical direction of the company. Role:

• Overall responsibility for providing development, quality assurance and customer support on multiple web based applications
• Responsibility for full cycle development on technical projects.
• Ensure product is designed, built and delivered on time and to specification
• Write functional & technical specifications
• Code changes based on technical specifications
• Responsible for system and user acceptance testing
• Manage and support releases

Essential:

• Web technologies using Java including servlets and presentation tiers (JSP, Struts, HTML5, XML)
• Client-side technologies primarily JavaScript and AJAX
• Advanced SQL
• Apache and Tomcat
• In depth RDBMS design concepts
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written skills.
• 5+ years experience as a Software Developer.

Desirable:

• Database administration – MySQL
• Network experience
• Experience using HTML5 Canvas
• Experience in training users on use of software
• Experience within the Dental or medical sector
• Experience with order management or workflow solutions
• Experience of Unix/Linux
