SeedComp: The Shortlist!
In no particular order, the shortlisted business ideas for SeedComp are as below. Final presentations and judging will take place on June 9th and we’ll be handing out some jumbo cheques that evening at an awards event featuring food, drink and some live music.

Advisr
Promoters: Greg O’Hanlon, Evan Grant
Advisr aims to develop an innovative approach to the teaching of creativity, design, entrepreneurship and technology through the use of online video, gameplay and a robust world-wide platform.
REMRAM
Promoter: Maria-Frances Breen
REMRAM seeks to create a cool global network of people recording and sharing their nightly dreams through an exciting mobile dream application and social platform.
Hopper
Promoters: Conann FitzPatrick, Anthony McCann
Hopper is digital WD40 for innovation generation. Its ideation software directly addresses ideational collateral damage. Millions of ideas are generated everyday within companies without even passing from conceptualization to evaluation. Hopper solves this problem and makes ideas happen.
eeeventhub
Promoters: Catherine Morris, Breda Doherty
Live events from festivals to conferences are becoming increasingly big business but navigating your way through the biggest can be a chore. eeeventhub combines public and proprietary content to provide a single information hub, making your festival going experience more enjoyable, economical and efficient.
Little Kite Design
Promoters: Lisa Kelly
Exploring how motion graphics can engage and entertain a visually aware audience Little Kite uses film, animation and motion graphics to act as digital backdrops for theatre, opera, dance productions, fashion shows, art installations, concerts, conferences and other live events.
Gocational
Promoters: FRANK
Combining augmented reality, digital art and location-based social media, Gocational aims to create a unique visitor experience for destinations across the globe.
Mesh
Promoters: Sean Feeney, Aidan Doherty
Every year thousands of talented graduates end up leaving university without a firm job offer and often end up in roles that under-utilise their skills. Mesh is setting its stall out to put this talent to use and create a crowd-sourced innovation consultancy powered by job hunting grads.
Mobile Report
MobileReport utilises mobile technology to help field-based workers compile professional reports from multi-media data gathered during field inspections and visits.
Viral Brand
Promoters: Patrick Cutliffe, John McDaid
Viral Brand’s principal product will help organisations of all shapes and sizes automate the process of creating a professional, functional and branded social media profile, eliminating the need for programming or design expertise.
App-rentice
Promoters: Caroline Anderson, Justine Scoltock, Katherine Rowlandson
Weaving together social tools and gameplay, Apprentice will provide a personalised, web-based learning experience for the millions of young people for which the standard curriculum and school experience are a bad fit.
Culture Shop NI
Promoters: David Lewis, Pearse Moore
A one-stop-shop for NI’s unique cultural product, the platform will offer interesting and exclusive art and cultural pieces from individual artists, designer-makers and cultural organisations.
NeuroConcise
Promoters: Dr Damien Coyle
Building on research into Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI) performed here in Derry, Neuro Concise’s technology has applications in everything from stroke rehabilitation to ‘executive toys’. The first use might just help bring brain-controlled video games to your living room.
